Even after Mahabharat, Dhritarashtra never left me, says actor Girija Shankar

Actor Girija Shankar, better known as Dhritarashtra of BR Chopra's Mahabharat during the late '80s, talks about how their previous deeds (read works) continue to tag along even till today. The actor is still in love with the character, and he continues to listen to title track from magnum opus, Atha Shree Mahabharat Katha. “Some onscreen characters become eternal," said Girija, adding, "Many of us who ere part of classic TV series were typecast. But it's fine." Shankar still reads about the character with whom he’s been living for ages, Dhritarashtra. He also added, "I start my day with Mahabharat title track. Each word, rhythm and pause in the track carries deep meaning. Doing Mahabharat changed entire perspective of my life."
