TPCC working president A. Revanth Reddy has alleged that cases were registered against him as he was fighting to protect the interests of farmers of Ranganaik Sagar and finally justice was done to them.
“Cases were filed against me at the behest of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and former minister and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao for taking up the cause of these farmers. I am ready to faces any number of cases to protect the interests of farmers,” he said addressing the media after inaugurating party office at the district headquarters on Saturday.
“Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao has sealed the fate of Mr. Harish Rao in the party and this is the last time he would be given the party ticket. Next time he will not get the ticket. I had warned Mr. Harish in this regard in the past but he did not heed to my advice. Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao has the habit of ditching people after using them to the fullest,” he added. The TPCC leader said that Mareddy Srinivas Reddy was roped in to check Mr. Harish Rao in Siddipet.
Stating that Congress was able to win three out of the five states where elections were held last year, Mr. Revanth Reddy said that the party would come to power in the general elections and Rahul Gandhi will become prime minister.
