Haryana: Two electrocuted, two others injured in Sirsa

CHANDIGARH: Two children died of electrocution and two others suffered serious burns after an iron rod touched the high tension wire passing over their house in Preet Nagar of Sirsa on Sunday morning.
Sukhdeep Singh (8) and Prince Kaur (2 ) died on the spot.
Sukhdeep’s uncle Rajbir and his 12-year-old daughter who had rushed to save the kids suffered serious electrical burns. They were rushed to the Shah Satnam Multi Speciality hospital on the Dera Sacha Sauda premises. Their condition is stated to be critical.
The incident occurred when children were playing in the balcony of the house. Sukhdeep died when he lifted an iron rod that touched the 11000 volts high tension wire which was passing from near the house.
The sister of deceased said when she raised an alarm her father Rajbir rushed to spot but he also suffered electrocution. Since Sukhdeep came in contact with Princi she too succumbed to electrocution on the spot.
Soon after the incident, DSP City Aryan Choudhary rushed to the spot. Police said that inquest proceedings are in progress and police is examining the circumstances which led to the incident.
