PATNA: The East Central Railway (ECR) has made elaborate arrangements for smooth movement of trains in the Danapur division during the NDA’s Sankalp Rally in Patna on Sunday.
The NDA has booked 18 special trains to help approximately four lakh rallyists reach Patna from different places in Bihar.
“All mail and express trains coming from New Delhi-end will be provided temporary stoppage at the Danapur station and those from Howrah-end at the Rajendra Nagar Terminal,” Danapur divisional railway manager (DRM) Ranjan Prakash Thakur told this newspaper on Saturday.
The railways has also decided not to run any goods train via the Patna Junction on Sunday.
“No vehicle will be allowed to run in the circulating area of the Patna Junction since Sunday morning and 10 additional mega announcing phones used to control the crowd,” the DRM said and added RPF personnel had been deployed to keep a close watch on the movement of passengers.
Besides, the railways has set up two first-aid booths on platform I and X which will be manned by a team of doctors. An ambulance will also be kept ready in case of an emergency.
