NEW DELHI: Amidst the ongoing board examinations, CBSE has released a list of instructions for all the parents and the students to sensitise them against fake news and misinformation present on social media platforms. CBSE has directed all the parents and students to adhere by the guidelines given on the official website, cbse.nic.in. All the communication devices and other similar gadgets are banned inside the premises of the centres.

This step was taken by CBSE keeping in mind the past records of circulation of fake news or misinformation through videos or online posts on social media platforms like Youtube, Facebook, Whatsapp etc. Such news and information create confusion and panic amongst students, parents, schools, and the public.

Through official notification, the CBSE has warned and advised everyone to restrain themselves from such activities. Immediate legal actions will be taken by CBSE against anyone who will fall under the radar of spreading fake news or any kind of mis/disinformation on social media.
