Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus were spotted taking a stroll in New York City on Friday. The actor is currently in the Big Apple to promote his new Netflix movie Triple Frontier, which will be released this month.
Affleck, 46, dressed warmly for the outing, opting for a blue jacket with matching pants and sneakers. The proud New England Patriots fan showed his support for the reigning Super Bowl champions by wearing a knit hat featuring the team’s logo
Meanwhile, the Saturday Night Live producer, 38, opted for an all-black ensemble and grey hat.
“They are hanging out again,” a source told PEOPLE after the pair were spotted grabbing dinner in Los Angeles last week. “They have been for over a month now. They still enjoy each other’s company.”

The outings come less than a month after the source told PEOPLE that Affleck and Shookus “struck up a friendship again” and were “spending time together” nearly six months after their split last August.
The insider added that both have been more focused on their respective careers and families vs. rekindling a full-blown romance.
“He really enjoys spending time with her but his focus will remain his kids and family,” said the Affleck pal. “I think he’s always been interested in seeing where his relationship with Lindsay could go, but these are two people who are very focused on their families and that distance between New York and L.A. is difficult sometimes.”

The long distance was allegedly a major factor in why the former couple split last August, after nearly a year of dating. Affleck and Shookus first made their relationship public when they were spotted grabbing dinner in July 2017.
“It was amicable, but unfortunately it didn’t work out, partly because of work and family obligations on different coasts,” the Affleck friend told PEOPLE at the time. “They truly cared for each other and tried to make it work. Unfortunately now is not the time.”
Affleck is L.A.-based, where he lives near ex Jennifer Garner, 46, and their children Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 6. Meanwhile, Shookus lives across the country in New York City, where she works on SNL and shares custody of a 5-year-old daughter with ex-husband Kevin Miller.
The Affleck insider noted that the Justice League star has been serious about continuing with his treatment program for alcohol addiction after a 40-day stint in rehab last year.
“Ben’s primary focus is spending time with his family and maintaining his physical and mental well-being,” the source in early February. “He is in a good place and works really hard to stay there.”
Triple Frontier will be released in select theaters on March 6 and available to stream on Netflix starting March 13.
