The core subject exams for Class 12 of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will begin on Saturday with the English being the first paper. While the examination for Classes 10 and 12 began early this time, with Class 12 from February 15 and class 10 from February 21, core subjects will be held in March. Students taking Class 10 exams will have language as their core subject which will be held on March 5.
As per CBSE, a total of 12,87,359 students are appearing for Class 12, out of which 7,48,498 are boys and 5,38,861 girls. While in Class 10, out of total 1827472 students, as many as 10,70,579 are boys and 7,56,893 girls. The board exams would be conducted at 4,974 examination centres.
A week before the main exam, the board had issued an advisory for students and parents to be aware of any rumours on social media and avoid panicking. A statement of the board said, “It has been noticed in the past that certain unscrupulous elements spre-ad rumours by posting fake videos and messages on social media platforms, obviously with the intention of spreading confusion and panic among students, parents, schools and public. We appeal you to cooperate with us for smooth conduct of exams by not participating in spreading of rumours information.”
Class 12 will have English on March 2, Physics on March 4, Accounts on March 6, Geography on March 7, Hindi on March 9, Sociology on March 11, Chemistry on March 14, Business Studies on March 15, Biology on March 18, Mathematics on March 19, Political Science on March 23, History on March 25, Economics on March 27 and Psychology on March 29
