The annual 13-day India-Bangladesh joint military exercise will begin in Dhaka on March 2. This will be the eighth edition of the joint military exercise between the two nations. The operation aims at strengthening interoperability and cooperation between the two country's forces. Personnel from both sides will carry out counter insurgency and counter terrorism operations during the exercise. A contingent of 170 personnel of the Indian Army is participating in the joint training exercise. The ‘SAMPRITI 8’ exercise will commence between March 2 to 15.
