Here are some of the tips that students can use to score high in 12th English Paper 2019:

1) Reading section

In this section of the English paper, you will find unseen passages of around 800–900 words. These paragraph can be of factual, descriptive or literary in nature. While reading the passage, you should keep highlighting important points with a pencil. Now, read the question asked based on these paragraphs. Highlighting important points while reading will decrease the time taken in finding the answer of the questions. Ideally, you should not take more than 10–12 minutes to solve para-based questions. There are around 19 questions in this section and the total marks is 30.

2) Writing section

The writing section consists of:

a) Short-answer type questions: Here you need to write short content for - advertisements, notices, posters, invitations etc. Try to show your creativity here

b) Letter types questions: Here you need to write business letters/applications. The tone of these letters are formal in nature and hence, you should practice for these kinds of letter every day to be prepared for the exam day.

c) Very long content: Here you would require to write long content such as - article, debate, speech etc.

However, the good part is that each of these questions will have options. Select the one you find easy to write.

An easy way to practice for the writing section is to refer to different types of content every day. Read newspapers, check advertisement content etc. Check how many words you can write and how much time it takes you to write. While writing, try to beautify and summarize each sentence.
