Picture used for representational purpose onlyJIND: A woman, identified as Lata, 23, allegedly committed suicide on Thursday by hanging herself after killing her 23-month-old baby in Budha Khera village of Safidon town in Jind.
However, Lata's family has alleged that her in-laws had killed her and the baby. The family has sought a probe into the matter.
The police said that they have registered a case under Section 174 (investigation of unnatural death) of CrPC and have sent the body for autopsy to know the exact cause of death.
