Namma Metro passengers were stranded for over 30 minutes at stations on the Green Line (Yelachenahalli - Nagasandra) owing to a technical snag in a train on Friday.
Around 2.25 p.m., a train heading to Yelachenahalli was held up at Chickpet station forcing BMRCL to suspend operations on the entire line.
Passengers in other trains were de-boarded at Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station Majestic, Mantri Square Sampige Road and Chickpet stations. Three round trips were cancelled.
A release from the BMRCL states that services were resumed at 3.25 p.m. As the incident happened during the non-peak hours, fewer passengers were affected.
One more 6-coach train on Purple Line
The BMRCL introduced one more six-car train on the Purple Line on Friday, taking the number of six-coach trains on the line to six.
