Amid the escalating tension between India and Pakistan in the wake of Pulwama terror attack and air strikes, former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram came forward to defend his nation saying Pakistan is not India’s enemy.
Taking to Twitter, Wasim Akram wrote that terrorism is enemy of both the countries and both should fight it together. “With my heavy heart I appeal to yours, India, Pakistan is not your enemy, Your enemy is our enemy! How much more blood needs to be spilled before we realise we are both fighting the same battle. We need brothers in arm if we want to beat this war on terror,” he wrote with hashtags #TogetherWeWin and #NoToWar.

The tension rose among both the neighbouring nations after India conducted air strikes on Pakistan soil, targeting bases of terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad and killing about 250 terrorists. An IAF pilot was captured by Pakistani authorities the next day. He is going to be released today.
