Two minor girls go missing in Puna
TNN | Mar 2, 2019, 04:00 ISTSurat: Two cousins, aged 15 and 14, who worked in an embroidery unit in Puna area of the city, have gone missing. A complaint of abduction has been registered by police and investigation begun. They had left home for work, but never returned.
The complaint registered at Puna police station said the two girls had left home saying that they were going to their factory, but it was closed on February 27. The families of the girls tried to contact them when they didn’t return home, but their mobile phones were switched off. Family members approached police the next day.
A police officer said, “We have some details and clues though their cell phones remain switched off. Family members suspect role of two boys in their abduction. We had gone to the houses of the two boys, but didn’t find them there. We are questioning the family members of the two boys, who too are minors, to locate the missing girls.”
