Anantapur Member of Parliament J.C. Diwakar Reddy will seek the Telugu Desam Party ticket for his son J.C. Pawan Kumar Reddy from the Anantapur parliamentary constituency.

Making this announcement at a press conference here on Thursday, Mr. Diwakar Reddy said that he had not talked to party national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu till date, but would approach him with the request very soon.

He would also seek the Tadipatri Assembly seat for his brother Prabhakar Reddy or someone from their family.

The criterion

Asked if the party would give ticket to two persons from the same family, he opined that the criteria should be winning chances of the candidates.

He was quick to add that even Women’s Welfare and SERP Minister Paritala Sunitha was seeking ticket for her son Sriram and there were a couple of others from the district who wanted two party tickets from the family.
