Pimpri: Hope Foundation’s International Institute of Information Technology Hinjawadi (I2IT) held a convocation ceremony of the 2017-18 batch here recently. Prakash Iyer, an author, motivational speaker, and leadership coach, was the chief guest.

The institute’s Principal Dr Vaishali Patil welcomed the gathering and congratulated the students, who were stepping into the next phase of their life.

Hope Foundation and Research Centre President Aruna M Katara advised the students to share their achievements with all those who have nurtured them and help them become who they are today. Katara also spoke about the importance of finding one’s ‘Passion Quotient’, which is what will define their accomplishments in life.

In his address, Iyer said that the degree that the students held was only a licence to step forward. It did not make them a skilled professional, which requires many many hours of hard work and perseverance, he said.

He added that students should not do anything wrong and get into trouble and they should not waste time competing with each other. They should rather collaborate and become team players.

Academic toppers of each department were felicitated. The valedictory speakers were BG Sahana from the Department of Computer Engineering, Amol Patil from the Department of IT and Asmita Jha from the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication.
