IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman’s parents were given a standing ovation by the co-passengers onboard the flight to Delhi. Abhinandan, who was captured by Pak authorities after his plane crashed on the Pakistan soil, is going to be released today at the Wagah Border.
The parents of this IAF braveheart were onboard the flight to Delhi from Chennai to welcome their son during his arrival. When the passengers of the flight came to know about their identity, they gave a standing ovation to them and also cheered for them with claps.
Instead of running to deplane the flight, which is a usual scene after a flight lands, passengers stood and allowed Abhinandan’s parents to deplane first. The video of the incident was shared on social media by some co-passengers. Have a look.

The IAF pilot was captured by Pakistani Army on February 27 after his aircraft MiG-21 Bison crashed on the other side of the border. He was detained by Pakistan who later took a decision to release him as a gesture towards peace initiative.
