AMBALA: A property dealer was robbed of his car and cash at gunpoint by two unidentified men near Saraswati Colony in Ambala, police said on Friday.
The district police have registered a case under Section 25, 54, and 59 of the Arms Act and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and 392 (punishment for robbery) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Parao police station.
In the First Information Report (FIR), Naib stated, "I work as a property dealer and I have my office near Saraswati Colony with name Shivam property close to Drugs De-addiction centre. On February 28, at around 4pm, I was sitting alone at my office and my Vitara Brezza car was parked outside. Two unknown youths aged around 30 and 35 entered into my office, and one of them with his face covered pointed a pistol at me while the other pulled out a knife and asked me to move inside towards the bed. They tied my hands and legs with a rope and pulled out purse from my pocket and the keys of my car. The miscreants fled the spot after locking the shutter from outside. After some time, I rescued myself and when I came out from the back door, I spotted that my car was also gone."
Parao SHO Munish told TOI, "After registering the case of robbery we have launched a hunt to nab both the miscreants. The shop of the property dealer is on Ambala-Delhi road near Shahpur village. There is no footage as the CCTV camera which was not working due to some under construction works at the building. So far, we have no leads in this case and further efforts are being made to make the arrests as early as possible.”
