Drunk woman creates chaos at police station, thrashes constable in Meerut

MEERUT: In a startling incident, a woman in an inebriated state created ruckus at the Brahmpuri police station in Meerut. The drunk woman not only hurled abuses at the cops and threw registers, but even thrashed a constable. The whole incident was recorded on-camera by the people present at the spot and the video of the incident has been doing rounds on the social media. The woman, who was found by the police in an inebriated state, was sent for medical examination after she was found misbehaving with the locals here.
In the video, the 19-year-old woman is seen shouting at the policemen. She is seen holding her footwear in her hands and running towards a person who is making a video of the scene. Her pictures of hurling the footwear at the police constables also went viral on social media.
“We conducted her medical test and contacted her family members after she was picked up by a police van from the street here where she was misbehaving with the locals. Later, at the police station she started hurling abuses and thrashing people,” said Udham Singh, sub-inspector, Brahmpuri police station.
“On Friday, she was let off by the police after being slapped with section 34 (Punishment for certain offences on roads) of the Police Act,” Singh said.
