The past month has been a tense one. After the Pulwama terrorist attack on February 14, India retaliated with air strikes on Balakot on February 26. The next day, the Indian government confirmed that an Indian Air Force pilot, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, had been taken into custody after aerial engagement between Indian Air Force and Paksitani Air Force. Much to the relief of India, yesterday, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan announced that Abhinandan would be sent back to India safely, as a goodwill gesture.
The commander has returned safely, and Bollywood celebrities are extremely relieved and thankful. Shah Rukh Khan wrote a tweet welcoming him home. He wrote, "There is no better feeling than Coming back Home, for home is the place of love, hope & dreams. Ur bravery makes us stronger. Eternally grateful."
