Kallakudi jallikattu: Bull tamer gored to death

TRICHY: A 23-year-old bull tamer from Trichy was gored to death by a bull during a jallikattu event at Kallakudi near Lalgudi on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as M Manikandan, 23, of Anandhimedu. He received a blow on his abdomen. The sharp horns of the bull pierced through his stomach.
The bull injured another bull-tamer, identified as M Velmurugan, 22, of Kallakudi.
Both of them were rushed to Government Hospital at Lalgudi where Manikandan was declared brought dead.
Police said the jallikattu left 15 people, including tamers, spectators and owner of the bulls, injured. As many as 705 bulls and 317 bull-tamers participated in the event.
