Vietnamese smartphone brand Mobiistar recently launched its new smartphone Mobiistar X1 Notch in India. With this handset, Mobiistar plans to capture the offline budget segment with this smartphone. The phone is equipped with 5.7-inch HD+ display, 13 MP primary and 13 MP selfie camera, fingerprint and facial unlock. The smartphone comes in Gradient Shine, Sapphire Blue, and Midnight Black colors.
Mobiistar X1 Notch seems impressive at its first glance. The rear panel of phone is made up of plastic but it doesn’t feel like. It has gradient glossy finish which gives premium looks to the smartphone. The phone is lightweight and easy to hold, thanks to its round edge design. The thickness of phone is little bit more but it doesn’t destroy the look and feel of phone. After flipping, there is 5.7-inch HD+ display with a notch which cultivates the look of phone. Power key and Volume keys are situated at the right side, while the left side has a SIM card tray. On the top, you can find a 3.5 mm jack, while the bottom side of smartphone is equipped with micro-USB port, primary microphone and speakers. Fingerprint sensor is situated at the regular spot but we find it little bit slow. Face unlock feature is also there which is acceptable at some extent.
Mobiistar X1 Notch comes with 5.7-inch HD+ LCD IPS display with the screen resolution of 720 x 1,498 pixels. Mobiistar offers a wider notch unlike the current Android smartphones that offer a smaller ‘dew drop’ notch. Notch houses an earpiece, front camera, and the ambient light sensor. The display of smartphone is vibrant and colorful.
The smartphone comes with 13 megapixels primary camera equipped with HDR, Panorama and Pro mode. The Selfie camera is 13 megapixels snapper with Bokeh mode but there is no front flash. AI mode is available for both the cameras. The dual rear camera would have been introduced as many brands at this segment are offering it. Daylight pictures are crisp and rich in colors but low light pictures fails to impress. Both cameras can record the videos at Full HD resolution. In General, smartphone has decent cameras and can capture exquisite photographs.
Mobiistar X1 Notch equipped with 2GHz quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 chipset paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android, v8.1 (Oreo) operating system. We got 3GB RAM variant and it performed seamlessly without any lag and fluctuation. We tried to play PUBG Mobile with low graphics but it doesn’t run so smoothly. The smartphone can take care of day-to-day tasks very easily but fails to impress in high end gaming experience. Mobiistar comes with 3020mAh non-removable battery which can last for a day after moderate use of device. The handset gets fully charged in nearly 2hrs.
The device comes with great design, decent cameras and good battery backup but little bit outdated in terms of performance due to its software. With device outdated software, it may seem a bit expensive, but it can prove to be a good value for the offline market.
