NEW DELHI: Shares of SBI Life Insurance Company witnessed high volatility as the stock rebounded 6 per cent after plunging 12 per cent on NSE in Friday's session on reports of a block deal.

According to Bloomberg data, about 7.88 crore shares or 7.9 per cent equity of the company changed hands in 35 block deals on BSE.

Shares of the company opened at Rs 580.35 against the previous close of Rs 580.50 and touched its intraday high and low of Rs Rs 618.20 and Rs 510, respectively, in trade so far.

The stock was trading at Rs 596, up 2.67 per cent around 10:55 am.

With over Rs 503 crore worth of shares changing hands, the stock remained the most active stock in terms of value on NSE till the time of writing of this report.
