| Mar 2, 2019, 04:48 IST
Dharwad : The high court bench at Dharwad has dismissed the plea seeking a CBI inquiry into the murder of ZP member Yogishgouda Goudar. His elder brother Gurunathgouda Goudar and his mother Tungamma had filed the plea.
However, the court has allowed the criminal appeal related to the murder case.

Gurunathgouda had filed the plea claiming that police had failed to investigate the murder and the chargesheet had several loopholes.

Gurunathgouda suspects that an influential politician from the district had a hand in the murder. He also charged that there were attempts to destroy evidence while the district court was hearing the murder case.

He had also filed a criminal plea to direct the district court to consider his application to ensure that witnesses are not threatened.

Allowing this plea, the high court has directed the district court to consider the application made by Gurunathgouda.
