Ludhiana: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) general secretary Pawan Dewan on Wednesday demanded suspension of India-Pakistan bus service.

In a statement, he said there was no point in continuing the bus service between Delhi and Lahore when Pakistan was indulging in hostile activities against India.

“Pakistan has continuously waged a war against India and the recent killing of 41 CRPF personnel has enraged the entire country. Every Indian is feeling angry and there is no reason why India should play host to Pakistanis travelling to India. The country is united against terrorism,” he added.

Dewan also criticized former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti for her statement that it would be difficult to hold Tricolour in Kashmir if Article 35-A of the Indian Constitution was repealed.

He said, “The government should register a sedition case against Mufti. She is trying to resort to political blackmail and double speaking.”
