Ujjain: City police have arrested thieves who stole 109 sacks of betel nuts and mouth fresheners worth Rs 7 lakh from a truck (MP 13 GA 6823) which was parked at Harifatak area on February 6. The report was lodged on February 18 by driver Shanawaz, a resident of Dhaba Road. In a press conference, the police informed that acting on a tipped-off they arrested three miscreants from Rajgarh in Dhar district on Wednesday with 65 bags of betel nuts. During the interrogation, the arrested reportedly admitted the crime.
However, kingpin Suleman alias Salman Khatri is on the run while Taxi alias Imran (26), a resident of Godhara, Moosa Kasim alias Hitlor and Bala alias Iqbal Patel (30), residents of Godhara were arrested. The police informed that all the accused are habitual criminals and FIRs against them were registered in Godhara police station also.
