AIIMS three-day inter-medical college contest begins

‘Colloquium-2019’ gives an opportunity to students to interact with experts

The three-day inter-collegiate competition for first year MBBS students being organised by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Mangalagiri, was inaugurated by the NTR University of Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor C.V. Rao at the institute’s temporary campus in Siddartha Medical College here on Wednesday.

The competition titled ‘Colloquium-2019’ provided students an opportunity to interact with pioneers in preclinical subjects and authors of textbooks coming to participate in the programme from AIIMS, Raipur, ANIIMS, Port Blair, UCMS, New Delhi, JIPMER Puducherry, Saveetha Medical College, Chennai, and D.Y. Patil Medical College, Mumbai, said organising committee chairperson Desai Vidya Sripad.

The presentations made by the students of different colleges would be adjudged by a panel of jurors from different Central institutions, Dr. Vidya Sripad said.

The event closed on the first day with the director unveiling the “AIIMS, Mangalagiri, Running Trophy”, that would be given to winners of Colloquium contest going to be conducted every year.

Siddhartha Medical College Principal R. Sasank participated.
