BHOPAL: Peeved employees of Jan Abhiyan Parishad (JAP) urged the Chief Minister Kamal Nath to reconsider the ‘decision’ of dissolving the JAP. In an interactive session Samvad with Nath on Wednesday at Samanvay Bhawan, the aggrieved employees urged him to think about their future as they would be rendered jobless if the government goes ahead with the decision of dissolving JAP and discontinuing their services.
Sanjay Sharma from Banda block of Sagar district asked CM, “Why are we targeted when no action was taken against tehsildars and collectors who ran away with EVMs? He was referring to EVMs reaching two days late at district office during the assembly elections. During the interaction, Nath almost chided the JAP employees questioning the very objective of setting up the organisation. “All employees should think why this organisation was set up and what was its objective? Have you all fulfilled that objective, asked Nath.
Nath further said: “You all need to ponder over the fact the government funds were misused to promote political organisations. Everyone knows how and why these appointments were made. What has election commission said about this organisation is no secret.” “I genuinely feel that no one should be rendered jobless but it doesn’t affect me if 500 more are added to the unemployed force,”said Nath. “I have a led a principled life and my political career is without any stain. Why should I head an institution that is known for abusing government funds to attain political mileage,” asked the chief minister.
Replying to a suggestion by one Priya from Betul, Nath said that you all need to contemplate and correct yourself. It is shame that party that does not have a single freedom fighter is trying to teach us nationalism. Task Manager Syed Shakir Jaffery said that not all are from Sangh (RSS) in this organisation and government should rethink over its decision. Nath said that he won’t decide in haste over fate of JAP. He will review the situation after three months and then think about it.
