A host of city socialites and P3Ps came together to check out an exhibition of Ikebana — the ancient Japanese art of flower arrangement — at Saptaparni recently.

Hosted by Rekha Reddy, first master in the art form, the two-day exhibition displayed various arrangements created by children that focused on the theme ‘Recycle, Resuse and Repurpose’.

Teenagers and youngsters constituted the majority of the crowd that saw Kojiro Uchiyama, the Consulate General of Japan, as the guest of honour.

The exhibition was preceded by a 10-day workshop where youngsters were trained on basic Ikebana skills.

Spotted at the do was ex-actor and wife of Mahesh Babu, Namrata and daughter Sitara who were showered with
courtesies.
