2-year-old boy drowns in well
TNN | Mar 1, 2019, 04:42 ISTTirupur: A two-and-a-half-year-old boy slipped into a well in a housing compound and died later on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammed Thasleen, son of S Ashik Ali and Fathima of Pushpa Nagar Third Street in the city.
Ashik and Fathima work in knitwear units, a police officer said. “On Wednesday evening, the lid on the well was left open after drawing water from it. Thasleen fell into the well accidentally while playing near it,” he said.
After they were informed, the Tirupur south fire and rescue personnel reached the spot and rescued the boy. Though he was rushed to the Tirupur Government Hospital, he failed to respond to the treatment and died.
The Tirupur south police have registered a case.
