Unidentified woman's body found in Agra

AGRA: An unidentified woman was found dead at south bypass of Agra district, police said on Thursday.

As per the report, at around 5am, locals informed police about the woman’s body. The body was found near Sirauli pulia of bypass road under Malpura police jurisdiction.


Malpura SHO Vijay Kumar said, "The victim’s body has been sent for an autopsy. Her identity is yet to be established, as no one from the neighboring area has reported about a missing woman."


According to police, the woman was murdered and dumped on road to make it look like a road accident.


Meanwhile, in Mirhachi, police claimed that 20-year-old married woman whose body was recovered near her parents' home, was smothered to death.


Speaking to TOI, Mirhachi SHO YK Sharma said, "Post-mortem report has ascertained the woman’s death due to smothering. Her viscera has been preserved to ascertain the rape bid. The probe is still going on and relatives of the victims are being questioned, to ascertain the accused involved in the crime."
