Audi Confirms 3 Production E-Trons By 2020, Says Geneva Stand Will Have Electrified Cars Only

Audi is bringing the striking E-Tron GT concept at Geneva for its European debut, which will be displayed alongside the new Q4 E-Tron concept, the E-Tron SUV and its Coupe sibling, the E-Tron Sportback.

Audi’s stand at the upcoming Geneva show will be an electrified-only affair, showcasing no less than four battery-electric vehicles, as well as four new plug-in hybrid versions of its existing lineup.

More new production Audis coming soon

In addition, the German manufacturer also announced the reveal of the all-electric Q2 L E-Tron in a few weeks in China, as well as the series-production versions of the E-Tron GT and Q4 E-Tron in 2020. The E-Tron Sportback SUV Coupe is going to be unveiled in its final production guise later in 2019.

For 2019, Audi is introducing the plug-in hybrid technology in pretty much every model in the lineup, including the new A6, A7, A8 and Q5 and the updated A3 and Q7.

“We have set ourselves a clear goal – one in three new Audi vehicles sold will have electrified drive in 2025 already. Because we are pursuing a clear vision – we are committing ourselves to emission-free mobility”, said Bram Schot, Chairman of the Audi Board.

As the flagship of Audi’s upcoming EV range, the seductive E-Tron GT will share the same architecture and battery pack with the Porsche Taycan, as well as its 800-volt system that allows super fast charging.

The Audi E-Tron GT concept comes with a combined power output of 582hp (590PS), with the company claiming a 0-62mph (100km/h) in 3.5 seconds and a 0-124mph (200km/h) in just over 12 seconds. While the exact driving range hasn’t been revealed yet, Audi expects the E-Tron GT to travel over 248 miles (400km) on a full charge.
