Abhishek Awasthi | TNN | Feb 27, 2019, 07:11 ISTGreater Noida: The man who was found dead in a green belt in Greater Noida (West) on Sunday has been identified as Sonu Singh (32), who went missing almost two weeks ago. Police presumed that unknown men had buried the body of Sonu after murdering him.
Sonu was a resident of Tusyana village in Ecotech 3 area of Greater Noida (West) where he lived with his wife and two children. He worked at a private company in Noida Phase 2.
Cops said Sonu’s body was found buried in the green belt on Sunday by a local resident, who later informed the cops. He was identified on Tuesday only after his family members recognised his clothes and filed a complaint.
A case has been registered under section 302(murder) of the IPC against unidentified people. “Prima facie, it appears that the man was killed the same day he went missing,” said Anit Chauhan, the station house officer of Ecotech 3 police station.“We couldn’t trace him till Sunday when a body was recovered in Greater Noida (West) that was later identified as him,” said Anit Chauhan, SHO, Ecotech 3 police station.
