NACD Philadelphia Chapter Board of Directors Announces New Leadership

Chapter elects James P. Dunigan as Chair and Arlene Yocum as Vice Chair

PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 27, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The NACD Philadelphia Chapter announces two highly regarded leaders as its board chair and vice chair. Nominating and Governance Committee Chair Alan J. Kaplan, of Kaplan Partners, stated, "Our Nominating and Governance Committee explored many options and worked hard to identify these two talented leaders. Our entire board looks forward to supporting the new leadership team as they continue the growth and success of the NACD Philadelphia Chapter."

Elected as chair of the board is James P. Dunigan, director, Provident Financial Services Inc. and Provident Bank. Mr. Dunigan has over 30 years of financial services industry experience, having served in leadership roles with PNC Asset Management Group, the business segment serving the investment management needs of individuals and institutions for PNC Bank. Most recently, he served as interim chief investment officer of the Pennsylvania State Treasury until October 2017. 

Mr. Dunigan is a graduate of Villanova University. He served on the board of directors and just concluded a term as president of the Union League of Philadelphia. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia and of the advisory board of Strategas Research Partners LLC, a global institutional brokerage and advisory firm.

Elected to vice chair is Arlene Yocum, director, AK Steel Holding Corp. Ms. Yocum led a 27-year career with PNC, holding a variety of management and executive positions with PNC's Asset Management Group and retiring as executive vice president in January 2017.

Ms. Yocum is a graduate of Dickinson College and the Villanova School of Law. She previously served as director of Integrated Alarm Services Group, Protection One Alarm Monitoring Inc., and Key Energy Services Inc. She is the immediate past president of the Community College of Philadelphia Foundation and presently serves on its Board of Directors. 

The leadership succession will take place on March 1, 2019. Chapter President Howard Brownstein will take on the role of immediate past president.
