Delhi: Four-storey building collapses in Karol Bagh, no casualty reported

NEW DELHI: A four-storeyed commercial building at Padma Singh Road in Karol Bagh collapsed on Wednesday morning. Fire officials said a relief and rescue operation was under way to look for anyone who might be trapped under the debris.
Chief fire officer, Atul Garg said that five fire tenders were pressed into service for the operations along with a team from the disaster relief department. They received a call around 8.40am, he said. A team from the local police station is also present at the spot.
Prima facie probe revealed that the building was old and ill-maintained. It was used to house some offices and shops and was empty at the time of the incident.
