NEW DELHI: Former J&K CMs Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti were trolled by Twitter users for their comments on Tuesday's air strikes on Jaish's terror camp in Balakot.
Abdullah was criticised for his tweet which read, "If this is Balakot in KPK, it's a major incursion and a significant strike by IAF planes. However, if it's Balakot in Poonch sector, along the LoC, it's a largely symbolic strike because at this time of the year, forward launch pads and militant camps are empty and non-functional."
However, he later praised the air strikes.
Similarly, Mufti was trolled after she tweeted, "Post pre-dawn strikes carried out by IAF, conflicting reports coming in. Official communique by FS claims that terror training camps were bombed while Pakistan denied this and said that the planes made a hasty retreat after being spotted. Hope objective of both sides has been served."
