Shah Rukh Khan's last release Zero didn't quite manage to impress the audience but that doesn't mean that the actor will stop experimenting with the kind of projects that he takes up next. While there's still no clarity about the next movie that he'll take up (though speculations about a certain Don 3 are rife), hi extended cameo in Kangana Ranaut's Mental Hai Kya stands confirmed as per several reports.
Shah Rukh is also producing Bard of Blood for a leading digital OTT platform but that's not all. If recent reports are anything to go by, then the Raees actor has also taken up a project which is said to be based on the class of '83. This is not to be confused with the Kabir Khan film based on the 1983 World Cup win, nor is the project based on the same. Turns out, it's going to be a film based on a team of sharpshooters and encounter specialists who're trained to combat terrorism and underworld by the Mumbai cops in the year 1983.
A DeccanChronicle report quoted a source close to the developments as saying, “From what we have heard, it is not going to be a web series but a film made exclusively for Netflix Originals. It is going to be mounted like a period drama in 1983 with multiple references to happenings around that era. This is also the time when Vasantdada Patil was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and will be part of the film. There will be a reference to the ’83 world cup as well during one of the sequences.” Aurangzeb director Atul Sabharwal is supposed to direct the project which is being mounted on a pretty huge scale.
