Two Jaish-e-Mohammad militants were killed in a gunfight with the security forces on Wednesday in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.
Police said security forces started a cordon and search operation in Mamender village of Shopian district following specific information about the presence of militants there.
"When the cordon around the hiding militants was tightened, they fired at the security forces triggering the ongoing encounter," police said.
