Two staffers steal cash from firm, flee

GURUGRAM: Two employees of a city-based gas service agency have been booked for allegedly stealing around Rs 5 lakh from the company.

An FIR has been registered on the complaint of the agency owner at Badshahpur police station, and the investigation is on. According to police, the complaint was filed by Rajni Chaudhary, a resident of Delhi’s Shalimar Bag, who owns the HP gas agency located on the first floor of Scottish mall. The accused, identified as Satender alias Dara and his brother Yogender, have been working at the agency for a long time. On Tuesday, they stole Rs 4.67 lakh from the office and fled.


“The accused deal in commercial cylinders and give me the money once in two months. On Tuesday, they were supposed to pay the money as per schedule but the duo fled with the cash. When I tried to contact them, their mobile phones were switched off,” said Chaudhary. An FIR was registered against the duo, originally of Etavah in UP under section 406 (criminal breach of trust) of IPC at Badshahpur police station on Tuesday.
