Walmart ties up with PhonePe

Grocery shop owners registered with Walmart India’s ‘Best Price’ wholesale stores will now be able to pay for their purchases using digital wallet PhonePe. PhonePe has entered into a partnership with Walmart India to enable its more than 1 million Best Price members, mainly kiranas, draw funds from their bank accounts using UPI, the companies said in a statement. PhonePe is part of Flipkart, in which Walmart holds a majority stake. Walmart India owns and operates 23 Best Price stores across nine States.
