AGRA: UP deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma on Wednesday expressed satisfaction over his visit to the UP board examination centres control room in Aligarh and said that steps are being taken to cancel the recognition of schools that are not imparting quality education to students.

Talking to media after visiting the control room, set up for monitoring CCTV cameras put in classrooms to curb cheating, Sharma said that the situation is far better now. Atrauli, which was infamous for cheating, has seemingly improved. He said, now the district authorities will prepare a list of schools which are not providing “good” education to students.

In order to make the examinations copying-free, CCTV cameras and voice recorders have been installed at the examination centres this year. He said that the board exams in Uttar Pradesh will be finished in 16 working days and this will be a big achievement in terms of saving time and resources.

He told media that he is happy with the arrangements made at examination centres to curb cheating and putting an end to the “nakal mafias”.

On being asked about IAF’s operation across LoC, Dinesh Sharma said that Pakistan will have to pay more than what they are doing. He said, “Prime Minister doesn’t interfere, but if someone instigates him, he doesn’t let them go easily”.
