Mother, daughter accused of killing five relatives

A mother and her teenage daughter are accused of killing five of their relatives inside their suburban Philadelphia apartment.

Police found the bodies, including those of three children, in a first floor bedroom Monday afternoon, after the landlord had raised concerns about the family's welfare.

SOUNDBITE: MATT WEINTRAUB, BUCKS COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY, SAYING: "I have to report that we have two suspects in custody for the homicide of five people at this apartment complex behind me." The two suspects have been identified as 45-year-old Shana Decree and her 19-year-old daughter Dominique.

Both lived in the apartment where the deceased relatives were found.

Each is facing five counts of homicide and one count of conspiracy.

SOUNDBITE: MATT WEINTRAUB, BUCKS COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY, SAYING: "It's a terrible tragedy.

Just spoke to the family of all five of the deceased and we're all heartbroken." Authorities say the victims include two of Shana Decree's children, her sister, and her sister's 9-year-old twin daughters.

The bodies showed no signs of trauma.

Police continue to investigate the causes of death and are not discussing a motive at this point.
