Police have taken out an apprehended violence order on behalf of Ms Ivkovic, a former Miss Universe Australia finalist.

Walker arrived hand-in-hand with Ms Ivkovic on Tuesday at Manly Local Court, where his barrister Richard Pontello indicated five defence witnesses will be called.

The prosecution intends to call eight police witnesses for the hearing.

Senior Constable Clare Scully, one of the responding officers, was the first of eight prosecution witnesses to take the stand.

She said she received an email from Ms Ivkovic asking "to make a retraction" but didn't act on it as she spoke to domestic violence officers who said the 24-year-old woman had sought legal advice.

In footage from Sen Const Scully's body-worn camera taken inside neighbour Lauren O'Sullivan's house, Ms Ivkovic told police Walker had been playing a game on his PlayStation.

'I asked if he wanted a fork or a spoon with his dinner,' she said.

'He was really p*ssed off because I interrupted.'

In a separate police video from that afternoon, Walker told police 'it was a fight over the PlayStation' and 'she wouldn't talk to me'.

He said he grabbed Ms Ivkovic's left shoulder.

'I just said, "Can you talk to me?" and she fell over,' Walker said.

Ms O'Sullivan testified that she saw the young woman leave the house across the road cradling a baby.

'She was barefoot, she didn't have a bag or anything. She was just sort of slowly wandering up the road.'

The neighbour said a man quickly caught up with Ms Ivkovic, who had her back turned.

'I saw him yank her ponytail very hard and I saw her fall to the ground.'

Ms Ivkovic was carrying the couple's baby when Walker allegedly pulled her to the ground, the Daily Telegraph reported.

When Ms O'Sullivan went to Ms Ivkovic's aid, Walker allegedly said 'f*** off, mind your own business'.

The court was also played a recording of Ms Ivkovic's triple zero call to police. In it, she told the operator 'he pulled my hair and I fell down'.

Ms Ivkovic says she didn't want to be alone with Walker and that "he's scaring me" but was reassured police were on their way.

Ex-Sea Eagles player Matt Ballin, Manly general manager of football John Bonasera and media manager Wayne Cousins sat in the public gallery on Tuesday.

The hearing before magistrate Michelle Goodwin continues.
