Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index dips; Dilip Buildcon slips 3%

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.46 per cent down at 16,762.49 around 02:17 pm.

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading lower in Tuesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Dilip Buildcon (down 3.24 per cent), CG Power and Industrial Solutions (down 3.02 per cent), GE T&D India (down 2.68 per cent), and HEG (down 2.55 per cent) were trading lower.

Suzlon Energy (down 2.13 per cent), AIA Engineering (down 2.08 per cent), Kalpataru Power Transmissions (down 2.03 per cent) and Graphite India (down 1.53 per cent) too were in the red.

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.46 per cent down at 16,762.49 around 02:17 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 22.30 points at 10,857.80 while the BSE Sensex was down 144.17 points at 36,069.21.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.

Shares of Reliance Communications, YES Bank, Adani Ports SEZ, Suzlon Energy, Adani Power, Reliance Power, CG Power, JP Associates, DHFL, Ashok Leyland, PNB, Dish TV India, GMR Infra, Reliance Capital, Tata Motors, Reliance Infra, JSPL, Vakrangee and NALCO were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
