VARANASI: After India’s pre-dawn air strike on terrorist camps across the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday, family members of Ramesh Yadav and Awdhesh Yadav, the two CRPF jawans who had lost their lives in Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, said they wanted further stringent action against Pakistan for harbouring terrorists.

“Pakistan isi ka hakdar hai (Pakistan is entitled to such action),” said Renu Yadav, the widow of martyr Ramesh Yadav. She also thanked the Indian Air Force and the Central government for the air strike. She said that all the terrorists should be singled out and eliminated.

The entire family and locals at Tofapur village in Chaubeypur area of Varanasi were seen glued to TV sets, watching the latest news of air strike. According to the family members, Renu, who had been grieving the demise of her husband for the last 11 days, was seen in a relaxed state of mind after watching the news of air strike in which around 250-300 terrorists were reportedly killed.

“Aur maro, tabhi sabhi maon ke beton ki shahadat ka badla milega (Continue the strikes, only then the mothers would get revenge of the martyrdom of their sons),” said the martyr’s mother Rajmati Devi. She said that the pain of losing her son would remain with her, but she is glad to know that the government is showing its determination in eliminating the terrorists.

Similar reactions came from the kin of martyr Awdhesh Yadav at Bahadurpur village in Chandauli district. However, the martyr’s widow, Shilpi Devi, is yet to overcome the trauma of Pulwama terror attack in which she lost her husband.

His cancer-stricken mother Malati Devi said that death of a son is the greatest loss for a mother. “We wish no mother loses her son in such terror attacks.”

“The news of air strike has brought some comfort to us. There is a need of complete elimination of terrorists and their camps in Pakistan,” said the martyred jawan’s father Harikesh Yadav.

While his younger brother Brijesh Yadav appreciated the action taken by the Central government to eliminate terrorists, his sisters Poonam and Neelam expressed their anger over Pakistan for promoting terrorism. The soldiers, who fight for the country, should be given all protection, they said.
