CHANDIGARH: The real estate market in Haryana has apparently started looking up over the period of past three year, if one goes by the revenue generation in terms of stamp duty and registration of properties and other actives related to sale and purchase of properties.
State finance minister Capt Abhimanyu said on Monday that as on today, the revenue department had got the receipts of Rs 1,000 crore in terms of stamp duty and other activities. “This collection is expected to record a growth of 33% over what we had in the year 2017-18. The credit goes primarily to our use of information technology (IT) in registration of properties. This has happened at the time when people claim that the real estate market is down,” he added.
“This is just a beginning and we are hopeful of touching a new high every financial year,” he added.
