A convicted member of the notorious 'Evil 8' paedophile ring has been released from prison only three years into his sentence.
Troy Phillip Milbourne was sentenced to five years and three months in Western Australian prison for his involvement in the molestation of a young girl in 2016.
He had pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual penetration of a child under 13 and four counts of indecent dealings with a child under 13.

Milbourne was released on parole in December under strict conditions.
One condition of his release is that he not be left unsupervised with girls under the age of 16, WAtoday reported.
Milbourne was one of eight men arrested in 2015 after police discovered a father pimping out his 12-year-old daughter to other men.
Before sentencing, Milbourne told a court he thought the girl was 17 or 18 years old at the time.
But the judge who jailed him said he was confident the crimes were committed with Milbourne's full knowledge the girl was under 16.
The girl's father, who cannot be named, pleaded guilty to a myriad of charges. He was sentenced to 22-and-a-half years jail.
He appealed the sentence, saying it was too excessive, but lost.

Five other men who took turns sexually abusing the young girl pleaded guilty to their involvement, with sentences ranging from three to nearly 13 years.
Alfred John Impicciatore was the final member of the ring to be sentenced.
He was found guilty of four child sex abuse offences in a judge-alone trial.
He was jailed for nine-and-a-half years, but is currently appealing the conviction and sentence.
