The book published by the I&PR department has included speeches on renaissance, renaissance leaders and ideological position. Interestingly, majority of speeches included in the collection were delivered by Vijayan after the Sabarimala issue. The publication of the book at this juncture makes it also clear that the chief minister and his party will use renaissance as a major campaign topic in the Lok Sabaha poll.
The week-long celebration to mark LDF government’s 1000 days in office was inaugurated in Kozhikode last Wednesday. Hundreds of new projects were inaugurated in a series of functions organized at different parts of the state in the past week.
The valedictory event will be held at Central Stadium at 4.30pm and will be inaugurated by Vijayan. Cultural events led by 1,000 artists will be the highlight of the function.
At 3.30pm, singer Pushpavathy and team will stage a music performance. During the event, 1,000 young artists will be awarded fellowship for two years under the Kerala diamond jubilee fellowship programme of cultural department.
A three-hour programme ‘Samabhavana’ conceived by the Bharat Bhavan will be staged after the public function.
