'In winter it's harder to get motivated and easier to hit snooze. But it's important to stay active to ward off viruses and keep that immune system in tiptop shape,' Rachael said.
The brunette beauty, who is set to make an appearance at the Sydney and Melbourne Fitness Show this year, explained the importance of switching up a workout routine.
'Trying a new and exciting routine can make working out something you actually want to do and prevent boredom,' she said.

'HIIT (high-intensity interval training) is a very effective style of training in limited time, it gets your heart rate up, boosts your metabolism and you'll be burning fat even after your workout is finished.'
Rachael swears by training with friends, claiming it's 'a great way to actually follow through with your session and stay on track with your fitness'.
'Make a commitment to meet a friend for a workout. Statistics show that you are more likely to meet your goals when you train with a friend, and it's a great way to mix up your workout by both suggesting activities to do,' she stated.

And given the cool weather in winter, the stunner prefers to work out at home as opposed to hitting the gym.
'Let's face it; no one wants to step outside in the cold when it's nice and toasty indoors,' she laughed.
'Plan to workout in your lounge room by selecting workouts or exercises that are couch or floor friendly. All workouts on my program Body By Finch are designed for exactly this, without the need for equipment.
'Select from HIIT sessions, yoga or stretch, and away you go.'

Being mindful: Rachael also encourages fans to practise mindfulness 'especially over winter when our moods are easily affected'
As for fuelling the body in the chilly weather, Rachael claims eating foods rich in immune boosting qualities such as vitamin C, zinc and iron will help in combating the 'winter sniffles.'

'Dedicating time to being 'present' and letting go of your thoughts can have powerful effects on your well being. Meditation helps keep your internal clock calm, giving your mind and body a good chance to restore and repair,' she said.
'You'll also notice a greater connection to your intuition and how your body is feeling on a deeper level.'
