Marriott International will expand its Delta Hotels brand to the UK this year, with properties opening in Cheltenham/ Gloucester, Nottingham and Colchester.
Delta Hotels Cheltenham Gloucester is on the edge of the Cotswolds and takes over from the Cheltenham Chase Hotel, part of the Q Hotels Group. It will have 122 rooms, meeting and event spaces and a spa, and is set to open in June.
The Delta Hotel Nottingham will open in April, according to the Marriott website, and has 110 Rooms, 10 suites and 10 meeting rooms. It is in the former Nottingham Belfry hotel, northwest of the city centre (pictured below).
The Delta Hotels website is displaying pages for the Nottingham and Gloucester properties, though is not currently showing rates or availability. The Colchester hotel is not online.
Marriott has not made an official announcement about the UK expansion, but confirmed the three openings to Business Traveller‘s Tom Otley on a recent trip.
Marriott acquired Canada-based Delta Hotels and Resorts in 2015. It launched the brand in the US in 2015 and has since rapidly expanded in the country. It opened its first European property in Frankfurt last May.
