“Huawei is all set to launch its P30 series flagships ay an event in Paris on March 26th”
Huawei has sent out media invites for the launch of its upcoming flagship series – P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite in Paris on March 26th. The smartphones are no more a mystery, thanks to extensive leaks and rumours in the past. Now, Digital Trends have managed to spend some time with a non-operational prototype of the P30 Pro at MWC 2019. At the same time, the more affordable model, P30 Lite has been spotted on the website of TENAA.
The Digital Trends writers accidentally stumbled upon the prototype at Huawei booth at MWC 2019. The dummy unit has Vogue (code name of P30 Pro) in place of Huawei and Link in place of Leica on the rear panel. It’s expected that the final unit will have the usual Huawei and Leica branding on the back. The unit has only three cameras on the back nestled in a singular module, as opposed to the leaks which suggested quad-cameras for the Pro Variant. It’s being speculated that the one with four cameras will actually be a 5G unit of the handset. As for the design, apart from the singular camera module, the P30 Pro dummy is a lot similar to the P20 Pro (review). Moreover, the prototype unit was seen in chrome finish, which could be one of the colour options for the upcoming flagships. Another noticeable change is the missing 3.5mm audio jack. Unfortunately, the specifications of the P30 Pro as well as the display were kept a secret.
As for the P30 Lite, the smartphone was recently spotted on the Chinese certification website – TENAA, revealing few key details. According to the listing, the P30 Lite will come with a 6.15-inch notch display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution. Ay oystering core, the phone is expected to have the Kirin 710 octa-core processor backed by either 4GB or 6GB RAM. The dual-SIM smartphone will have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security and 3,240mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
We will get to know more about these smartphone in a month’s time when Huawei official unveils them, so stay tuned.
